Heavylift company tests biofuel on offshore vessel

Dutch Jumbo is testing a biofuel on an offshore vessel in the North Sea. The fuel was developed by Goodfuels, which assesses that it may reduce CO2 emissions considerably.

Dutch heavylift shipping company Jumbo Maritime has initiated a trial, in which the company will test a biofuel on an offshore ship to lower CO2 emissions, Jumbo Maritime informs in a statement.

The fuel is developed by producer Goodfuels, and, according to the company, it may reduce CO2 emissions by 80-90 percent well-to-propeller compared to fossil fuels.
