Dutch offshore service major Boskalis hit hard by fierce competition

Offshore service operator Boskalis books more than EUR 100 million in provisions resulting from stiff competition in the offshore wind market.

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. has become well aware of the fierce competition involved in delivering offshore wind for the cheapest possible price.

This market force sent the offshore energy division's operating result down to EUR -94.5 million in H1 2019 against EUR -7.2 million from the same period last year.
