Stena group's bottom line takes significant hit

The bottom line dropped 83 percent in the second quarter, reveals Swedish shipping group Stena's most recent interim report. However, some of the group's maritime businesses saw a growth in the operating result. The biggest increase is found in tanker.

Despite a growth in revenue across the Stena group's overall business, the Swedish group's bottom line plummeted significantly, shrinking 83 percent in total.

The group's net result thus lands at SEK 283 million (USD 28.9 million) for the second quarter compared to SEK 1.75 billion in the same quarter last year, shows the interim report published yesterday.
