Headhunter seeks female candidates to no avail

It can prove very difficult finding a female candidate for a job in the shipping business, headhunter Stine Martinussen tells ShippingWatch. In Denmark, Singapore and the UK, there are very few female shipping executives.

A company could be searching for a long time if it seeks to employ a woman in its top management or in the technical part of its business.

There are not many to choose from, says Stine Martinussen, regional manager at Worldwide Recruitment Solutions and based in Singapore.
