Car carriers hit with class action suit in cartel case

Four major car shipping companies face a class action suit, pursuing compensation of GBP 150 million as part of a long-standing cartel case. The case has already cost the shipping companies fines for more than a billion dollars.

Four car shipping companies are being sued in a class action lawsuit in the UK following a lengthy and spectacular cartel case, write several media, including City AM.

The four car carriers in question are MOL, NYK, Wallenius Wilhelmsen and CSAV. They are being sued for overcharging on the transport of cars to consumers and businesses that bought a new car between October 2006 and September 2015.
