If carriers and shipping companies plan to use their force majeure clauses, they should not wait a month to do so. They should do it now, advises Peter Appel, chairman and head of law firm Gorrissen Federspiel's shipping department.
"If you want to declare force majeure, it has to happen quickly," says Appel in an interview with ShippingWatch.
