Oldendorff ship attempted robbed in Singapore Strait

Ships from Oldendorff, Melodia Maritime and Kyla Shipping were attempted robbed in the Singapore Strait over the weekend. This year alone, ten incidents have taken place, reports security firm Recaap ICS.

Gulf of Guinea is not the only unsafe place for the international merchant fleet at the moment. Three armed robbery attempts have taken place from April 8 until yesterday in the Singapore Strait, informs security firm Recaap ICS in an announcement.

In all three cases, the robbers were scared away and crews on the ships were unharmed. In an incident Sunday, engine spare parts were stolen from bulk ship Pantazis L of Kyla Shipping, informs the announcement.
