Eimskip books operational profit in the first quarter

Icelandic shipping line Eimskip achieved an operating profit of EUR 2.2-3.2 million in the first quarter, show preliminary fiscal figures. The result is an improvement from the same period last year, which ended in a deficit.

After a tough 2020, which saw cutbacks and layoffs, things are finally starting to look up for Icelandic shipping company Eimskip.

Eimskip thus books an operating profit (EBIT) of EUR 2.2-3.2 million (USD 2.6-3.8 million) for the first quarter of the year, reveal preliminary quarterly figures, according to an announcement. Eimskip is scheduled to publish its audited quarterly figures on May 11.
