Grieg Edge and Wärtsilä tap designer for their ammonia tanker

Grieg and Wärtsilä's new ammonia ship, named MS Green Ammonia, is set to hit the water in 2024. The two companies have now found a company to design the ship.

MS Green Ammonia is a tanker vessel and a collaborative project between Grieg Edge and Wärtsilä and now naval architect firm LMG Marin joins the team to design the vessel that is intended to carry green ammonia and run on it too.

LMG Marin has a long track record of ship designing and most recently the naval architects received an award for their work on the hydrogen fueled ferry Hydra. Grieg Edge wants to draw on this experience.
