DFDS narrows full-year guidance after third quarter with higher costs

DFDS raised its top line in the third quarter, which also saw the number of passengers start to grow. The ferry operator narrows its 2021 guidance for both revenue and operating result.

Ferry operator and logistics firm DFDS exits the third quarter with increased revenue, while travel restrictions are still putting pressure on its passenger business.

The company's total revenue grew by 22 percent in the quarter to DKK 4.4 billion (USD 669.3 million) against DKK 3.5 billion in the same quarter last year, while the pre-tax result came to DKK 291 million, up from DKK 262 million in the third quarter of 2020, shows the financial report published Wednesday morning.
