Eurotunnel pleased with authorities investigating DFDS

Getlink-owned Eurotunnel expresses satisfaction with competition authorities looking into whether ferry operator DFDS has an unfair competitive edge on the English Channel, Eurotunnel tells ShippingWatch.

Eurotunnel, owned by European company Getlink, confirms having lodged a complaint over DFDS to competition authorities regarding a collaboration which the Danish ferry operator last year began with British competitor P&O Ferries on passenger and freight route Dover-Calais.

"We are very satisfied to have two authorities investigating the case, and that the French authorities have given a 'statement of objection'," writes a Eurotunnel press spokesperson to ShippingWatch.
