Maersk enters harassment settlement with second female cadet

A few days after Maersk reached a settlement with former ship cadet Hope Hicks, who was by all accounts sexually assaulted on Maersk ship Alliance Fairfax in 2019, the liner has reached a new settlement deal with another plaintiff, ship cadet ’Midshipman Y’.

Maersk is now closing the lawsuit in which two former female ship cadets in June sued the container shipping line following severe sexual offenses on board a Maersk ship in 2019 and 2021.
