The new head of DFDS’ ferry division, Mathieu Girardin, has been brought in to generate growth but inherits a tough competition situation in the English Channel characterized by unequal terms, he says.

While heading towards record results, the Danish ferry and logistics operator DFDS is subject to unfair competition from two rivals on the English Channel, claims Mathieu Girardin, new group head of DFDS’ ferry division, in an interview with ShippingWatch.
