
In its Shipping Quarterly report, published today, Tuesday, major Norwegian shipping analyst agency Platou Markets estimates that the shipping industry will soon face a recovery, and that 2014 looks to be the year it finally happens.
Following the downturn, which began in 2008 and was replaced by a brief rebound for certain ship types in 2010, Platou now refers to a more general recovery, not least fuelled by the fact that the major ship orders from 2005 to 2008 seem to be done and executed.
