Dubai carrier doubles its Atlantic fleet

Over the last 12 months, United Arab Shipping Company has more than doubled its capacity on the transatlantic routes, says Alphaliner analyst.

Dubai-based container carrier United Arab Shipping Company is expanding.

During the past 12 months, the carrier has more than doubled its capacity on the transatlantic routes, said Alphaliner analyst Hua Joo Tan at a recent conference in Shenzhen, China, according to Gulf Ship News. And the development is not going to stop anytime soon, said the analyst, as the wave of capacity looks set to double again next year.
