Torm negotiating with new owner

A planned change to Torm's long-term ownership structure, which the carrier started working on in 2013, becomes more tangible following the announcement of a process involving "several external stakeholders."

Torm has initiated a structure process involving a series of external stakeholders, says the carrier in a brief to the stock exchange on Monday.

"As previously announced, TORM has initiated a process to address the Company’s long-term capital structure and has engaged a financial advisor (cf. company announcement no. 14 dated 15 August 2013). This work is now continuing to a stage, where TORM is carrying out a structured process involving a number of external stakeholders to further explore the possibilities for a strategic  transaction during 2014," says Torm in the statement.
