The IMO's Polar Code work group is working full steam these days, hoping to have the wording of the strategy for Arctic sailing "pretty much done" by Friday, says Per Sønderstrup, Head of Secretariat at the Danish Maritime Authority, who represents the authority at the meeting of representatives from all the coastal states in the Arctic and Antarctic, as well as many other stakeholders.

"Our goal is to have it pretty much done and get as far as we possibly can this week. We're working at full steam," he says from London.
