The global steel production increased by 3.5 percent in 2013, pushed up by Asia and the Middle East, while the production declined in the EU and elsewhere, according to a new survey by the World Steel Association.
In Asia the total production in 2013 increased by 6.0 percent, compared to the year before, and the region's share of the global steel production now accounts for 67.3 percent.
