26 people sentenced to death following Suez attack

A total of 26 people have been sentenced to death in absentia in the criminal case related to the rockets fired against ships, including container ship Cosco Asia, in the Suez Canal in September last year.

On Wednesday the court in Cairo, Egypt, sentenced 26 people to death in absentia. The many people were convicted of having conspired and planned attacks on ships in transit in the Suez Canal, according to Reuters.
