Maersk heir ready to roll

Robert Uggla has now joined the Maersk inner circle for real, after he stepped into the Maersk Supervisory Board yesterday.

Of course you have the two top dogs, Chairman Michael Pram Rasmussen and Group CEO Nils Smedegaard Andersen. And Ane Uggla, who represents the Maersk family and chairs the A.P. Moeller Foundation, which ultimately owns A.P. Moeller-Maersk. But now you also have Robert Uggla, son of Ane and - until yesterday - "just" the CEO of Maersk carrier Svitzer. Now he is part of the Maersk Supervisory Board, and he steps into the media spotlight more willingly than he has in the past.

With his wife Paola Konopik by his side, he answered questions - willingly and diplomatically -from reporters curious about how he plans to combine his role as CEO with the new position on the Supervisory Board as well as his future career.
