Norwegian shipowners' association gets new Chairman

The Norwegian shipowners' association, Norsk Rederiforbund, has gotten a new Chairman: Lars Peder Solstad, of shipping company Solstad Offshore ASA. He used his first statement to stress that Norway is a superpower in shipping.

The Norwegian shipowners' association has gotten a new Chairman in CEO of shipping company Solstad Offshore ASA, Lars Peder Solstad, who used his commencement address to stress the sector's importance as a "superpower":

"The maritime business has never been stronger than it is today, with more than 100,000 employees and a value creation amounting to USD 26.8 billion a year," says Lars Peder Solstad.
