West Africa a hot-spot for Topaz

Shipping company Topaz Energy & Marine has signed a new contract in West Africa. The region currently accounts for ten percent of the carrier's business.

Offshore carrier Topaz Energy & Marine has won a large contract from an oil company operating off West Africa.

The job is worth USD 11 million, and if these new millions are added to the existing business in West Africa, the company - according to its own estimate - has jobs for a total of USD 1.2 billion in the region. As such, the carrier's West African business accounts for ten percent of Topaz' total business. As recently as February, Topaz landed USD 50 million contract for work in the same region.
