The Lauritzen Foundation lost over USD 250 million in 2013

Major losses at shipping company J. Lauritzen affected the results of owner the Lauritzen Foundation, which lost more than USD 250 million in 2013. DFDS, however, contributed a large profit.

The Lauritzen Foundation, which owns the complete J. Lauritzen and a 44 percent stake in DFDS, suffered a 2013 deficit before taxes of USD 250.2 million, compared to a USD 343 million deficit the year before.
