Norwegian Deep Sea Supply buys ten new ships

The energy companies' reluctance to invest does not seem to affect the supply carriers. Deep Sea Supply acquires ten vessels from PSV Holding. Both companies are dominated by John Fredriksen.

Norwegian-based supply carrier Deep Sea Supply has closed a deal to acquire ten new supply vessels (PSV's) with a market value of USD 419 million, says the carrier in a corporate statement to the Oslo Stock Exchange.

As partial financing for the acquisition, the carrier plans to issue new shares for a total of USD 200 million, which have already been subscribed by the company's primary shareholder, Hemen Holding.
