Building two ferries is a long process. At least for Scandlines, as the ferry operator has had more than a little trouble getting the two ferries ordered in 2012 finished and delivered. But now it seems set to happen. Scandlines has signed a contract with Fayard to complete work on the two ferries M/F Kronprins Frederik and M/F Prins Joachim.
"Scandlines and Fayard have worked together for the past 35 years and we know the yard as a reliable partner that can meet delivery dates. This factor has been crucial to us in the process," says Scandlines CEO Søren Poulsgaard Jensen in a statement.
