Skuld provides Myanmar checklist for carriers

The shipping industry is growing in Myanmar, but there are a lot of things to bear in mind for the companies poised to start operations in the young democracy, Skuld assesses.

In spite of an increased activity in shipping, it can still be very difficult for carriers to capture the market in Myanmar, Skuld writes in a press release.

Myanmar is an obvious target for shipping companies, as there is huge potential for export of a number of raw materials, just as the country is training many new people for the international shipping sector. Meanwhile, the country’s economy is on the rise, which also helps improve Myanmar’s position.
