Pacific Basin warns of major loss on customer

Pacific Basin's towage unit is owed a total of USD 8.9 million from an Australian customer that has entered receivership.

A major Australian customer of Pacific Basin's salvage and towage unit has entered voluntary receivership.

Per September 10th 2014, Pacific Basin is owed USD 8.9 million in receivables from the customer, of which USD 7.1 million relate to barge bareboat charter contracts, says the company in a statement on Thursday.
