A2Sea: Offshore wind vessel rates down by 40 percent

Rates for large offshore wind vessels have dropped significantly due to the slowdown in the wind industry, A2Sea CEO Jens Frederik Hansen tells Danish newspaper Børsen.

Times are tough in the market for specialized vessels that service the wind industry by setting up offshore wind turbines. Jens Frederik Hansen, CEO of A2Sea, owned by Siemens and Dong Energy, explains the development in an interview with the Danish newspaper Børsen. According to Jens Frederik Hansen, the industry is effected by a slowdown, which is pushing ship rates down.
