The environment in the current heavy lift market is far from friendly, and the market, which has actually been at a stand-still for years, is under further pressure from the falling oil prices.

So it could be seen as a risky venture to throw one's hat in the ring and join the fight for customers and projects in heavy lift, as the new company United Heavy Lift (UHL), based in Hamburg, is doing with Danish Lars Rolner as CEO and founder. But there's plenty of room, he tells ShippingWatch.
