Media: Thorco drags down Stadil family company

The Stadil family's group of companies gathered under the umbrella company Thornico is dragged down by Thorco, which is not doing well in the shipping markets. The plans for an IPO of parts of Thornico including Thorco have been put on standby, says Christian Stadil to Danish media.

Thorco Shipping, the Stadil family's specialized carrier, is a thorn in the paw of the family's corporate group Thornico.

Last year, Thornico delivered a result of USD 29 million before taxes, which is a decline from USD 38 million in 2013. The decline is especially attributable to Thorco Shipping, say Christian and Thor Stadil to Danish newspaper Berlingske Business.
