China in talks with Iran for shipping projects

Major state-owned Chinese companies are in talks with Iran for the establishment of projects worth billions in infrastructure and shipping, reports Reuters. According to the news agency, this concerns a railway project between the capital Tehran and the city of Mashhad worth somewhere between two to three billion dollars, as well as the supply of vessels including container ships and oil tankers from Beijing-operated Dalian Shipbuilding Industry, according to Reuters citing Chinese sources.
