OW liquidator aims to strip bank of the rights to huge claims

The Danish liquidators of OW Bunker have filed a lawsuit against the major Dutch bank ING in the battle for the remains of the collapsed bunker company. Currently, the parties are trying to avoid a grueling court case.

The battle for the huge OW Bunker claims against carriers continues even though the banks won the first round in a UK court this May.

The UK Supreme Court ruled that the major Dutch bank ING holds the right to the money which several carriers owed the bunker company for fuel purchases, when the bunker supplier went bankrupt in the winter of 2014.
