This is Maersk's new course after its major executive overhaul

Insight: The new A.P. Moeller-Maersk is taking shape. Over the next two years, oil will be separated from the group, which going forward will focus on shipping-related businesses. Maersk Line will play a dominant part in the new Maersk Group.

From being a full-fledged conglomerate dealing in shipping, oil, and retail, A.P. Moeller-Maersk is now putting the finishing touches on a transformation which will turn Denmark's biggest industry player into a more pure-play shipping company.
