This is the shipowners' EU agenda for 2017

2017 will in many ways be a landmark year for maritime stakeholders in the EU. Shipowners in particular are excitedly awaiting the new year, perhaps also anxiously, as crucial topics will be on the agenda in Brussels.

This is not just because the EU Transport Commissioner Violeta Bulc will launch her maritime program from Jan. 1, but mostly due to which topics are bubbling under the surface. The Transport Commissioner left the industry with many questions after organizations such as ECSA (The European Community Shipowners' Associations) and representatives from the Danish Shipowners' Association tried to get information about how Bulc planned to boost the maritime industry.
