Valero says Trafigura was responsible for contaminated bunker

US oil company Valero claims that Trafigura was the source of the bad bunker, which caused problems around the world last year. Central to the allegations are a number of oil cargoes that Valero allegedly purchased from Trafigura.

US oil company Valero is passing on the responsibility in the legal battle following last year's extensive problems with dirty bunker.

From the turn of the year and until the end of summer in 2018, hundreds of vessels incurred problems after burning contaminated bunker fuel.
