DSV says customer needs have changed: "We see more complex supply chains"

Freight forwarding major DSV Panalpina is seeing a change in its customers' supply chains, which, according to CEO Jens Bjørn Andersen, have become "more complex", writes business daily Børsen.

The coronavirus crisis accelerated a shift in global supply chains that stems back to when the US initiated its trade war with China more than two years ago, the world's fourth-largest freight forwarder, Denmark-based DSV Panalpina, tells business daily Børsen.

"We see more complex supply chains, in which companies have increasingly started to use more suppliers and have moved some of their production out of China to countries such as India, Vietnam and Bangladesh," says Jens Bjørn Andersen, CEO of DSV Panalpina, to Børsen.
