The coronavirus crisis accelerated a shift in global supply chains that stems back to when the US initiated its trade war with China more than two years ago, the world's fourth-largest freight forwarder, Denmark-based DSV Panalpina, tells business daily Børsen.
"We see more complex supply chains, in which companies have increasingly started to use more suppliers and have moved some of their production out of China to countries such as India, Vietnam and Bangladesh," says Jens Bjørn Andersen, CEO of DSV Panalpina, to Børsen.
