DB Schenker resumes freight to UK – DHL suspends some freight in the other direction

Freight forwarder DB Schenker is yet again transporting goods from the EU to the UK after customs difficulties led the company to temporarily halt its service. Meanwhile, DHL suspends some of its freight modes in the other direction due to challenges.

Less than a week after logistics company DB Schenker temporarily halted freight from the EU to the UK, the company is now ready to ship goods again.

The transition phase following Brexit expired at the turn of the year, and the new customs regulations and accompanying paperwork subsequently proved more comprehensive and challenging than anticipated. As a result, DB Schenker temporarily shut down freight services until it had control of its processes again.
