Scan Global: Sanctions make customers cancel orders going to Russia, Ukraine

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and resulting sanctions are creating so much uncertainty that several customers are canceling orders going to the two countries, says logistics firm Scan Global to ShippingWatch. Maersk says it’s still too early to assess the effect of sanctions.

The US and EU’s sanctions in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine are causing such uncertainty that several customers are canceling orders going to Russia and Ukraine, waiting to see how the situation unfolds.

Logistics company Scan Global Logistics tells ShippingWatch as much, while Maersk holds that it’s still too soon to assess the effect of the sanctions against Russia.
