Norway's oil major wants to develop an ammonia-fueled offshore vessel in collaboration with Eidesvik Offshore.

In a new collaboration, Equinor wants to develop an offshore vessel capable of sailing on ammonia from 2024.

Specifically, the Norwegian oil major has entered a partnership with Eidesvik Offshore, which aims to make the ship Viking Energy capable of sailing long distances on ammonia from 2024, writes Equinor in a press release.
