Confirmed: Here is the EU's climate plan for shipping

The European Commission has now presented its proposal for a plan that would drive the green transition in shipping towards 2050. This is the first time that the shipping industry is presented with a comprehensive legislative proposal to ensure that shipping contributes to the green transition.

This is the message from the European Commission following a long run-up to the presentation of its much-awaited proposal, which will ensure that shipping transitions from using fossil fuels to sustainable fuels by 2050.
