Shipowners fear wide-ranging consequences of law against low wages

Danish Shipping and ECSA both worry about the tendency of local demands to carriers. DFDS agrees cautiously but is happy to see British intervention.

While DFDS is happy to see a UK intervention against social dumping, the carrier’s own trade association is worried that the new legislation could open the door to an ensuing chaos of local rules for shipping companies.
