New fuel regulation could cost as much as 12,000 dollars a day per tanker

The cost of ETS per day could amount to the equivalent of 30 percent of a tanker’s daily earnings, according to a new estimate. But something else will probably be a bigger burden than the cost.

The European Union’s CO2 quota system, EU ETS, could represent a large daily cost, according to consultancy group Hecla Emissions Management.
