Pareto: Stock dive makes dry bulk and LPG carriers attractive

The latest tumble in the stock markets has also hit the shipping sector, notes brokerage and investment banker Pareto Securities. This creates acquisition opportunities in LPG and dry bulk, says the firm.

Like other sectors, shipping has been impacted by the latest dive in the financial markets, and according to analyst firm Pareto, this creates "very attractive entry points" for acquisitions in parts of the sector.

In an update from Pareto Securities, issued Monday, the firm notes that all shipping segments have seen their market value tumble 3 to 9 percent, and the sector's combined loss totals 6 percent, according to the company.
