Lloyd's to develop autonomous navigation system

Lloyd's Register will work with partners such as Japan's Mitsui to develop the world's first autonomous navigation system for ocean-going ships.

Lloyd's Register has decided to develop the world's first autonomous navigation system for ocean-going commercial ships.

This will be done in a collaboration with technology company ST Engineering Electronics and Japanese commodity trader Mitsui, says Lloyd's Register in a press release.
