Norwegian yard could be hit by new impairments

Italy's Fincantieri group does not rule out that there could be more impairments in store on asset values at Vard, writes Reuters. The Norwegian shipbuilder has already received large capital injections from the owner.

It cannot be ruled out that there will be a need for more impairments at Norwegian shipbuilder Vard, says the owner, Italy's Fincantieri group, according to Reuters.

At a teleconference following publication of the group's interim report Friday last week, the company said the restructuring of the struggling Norwegian shipyard could result in more costs.
