Third generation takes over at Dutch shipyard

The longtime CEO of Dutch Damen Shipyards Group steps down. He is replaced by Chairman Kommer Damen's eldest son.

The third generation of the Damen family will take over as CEO of Damen Shipyards Group.

After serving for more than 13 years, René Berkvens steps down as chief executive officer of Damen Shipyards Group. The yard's new CEO will be Arnout Damen, the eldest son of Chairman Kommer Damen, whose father and uncle established the yard in 1922.
