Bureau Veritas launches digital classification in Rotterdam

Classification firm Bureau Veritas is now going digital and will open its first remotely operated center in Rotterdam, a main hub for shipping. The development has been eight years coming.

Bureau Veritas now launches remote classification from its European headquarters in Rotterdam.

Going forward, the company will provide classification services without a ship inspector needing to be physically present on the ship, says Bureau Veritas in a press release.
