Vitol enters Singapore with takeover of bunker supplier

The Vitol Group now enters Singapore as bunker supplier and has acquired an already established player in the world's top bunker port to secure a foothold.

Vitol enters the world's largest bunker port, Singapore.

Vitol Marine Fuels, a subsidiary of Vitol Group, has acquired company Sinanju Tankers Holdings, which is already an established player in Singapore with a license to trade in the port. The statement does not reveal how much Vitol paid for the company.

3i buys AMP out of Esvagt

Private equity firm 3i, which owns half of carrier Esvagt, has agreed with the company's second owner, AMP Capital, to take over all of Esvagt for GBP 268 million, making 3i the sole owner. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022.
