1 dead and 40 test positive for coronavirus at yard in Romania

A total of 41 people at the Dutch-owned Damen shipyard in Romania have in a few days tested positive for coronavirus. As such, the yard has now implemented work in shifts and made face masks mandatory. One employee has died from the virus.

In just a few days, a total of 41 people have been infected with coronavirus at the Damen Galati yard in Romania, which is part of the Dutch Damen group.

This is a significant and sudden surge for the yard, which previously during the pandemic registered just a single case, reports Romanian media Mediafax. One has passed away from coronavirus, writes the media.
