Yara and BAR Technologies to install sails aboard Cargill vessel

Suppliers Yara and BAR Technologies join forces to supply sails to commercial vessels. A Cargill ship will be the first to be equipped with solid wind sails.

Yara Marine Technologies and BAR Technologies join forces to install solid wind sails aboard a vessel operated by commodity trading major Cargill.

The technology, dubbed WindWings, is set to debut aboard the Cargill ship as part of a retrofitting and is expected to be ready in 2022, write the companies in an announcement.
